Procedure Time

Rhinoplasty typically takes 2–3 hours and is performed under general anaesthetic. More complex or revision rhinoplasty procedures may take longer depending on the individual case.

Most patients are able to return home on the same day.

Recovery

Following surgery, a protective splint is placed over the nose for approximately 7–10 days. Swelling, bruising around the eyes and mild discomfort are expected during the first week.

Most patients return to work or normal daily activities within 10–14 days, although strenuous exercise should be avoided for approximately 4–6 weeks. While the majority of swelling settles within the first few months, subtle refinement continues over the following 12 months as the nose reaches its final shape.
